Isuzu LE Diesel Engine

The Isuzu 4LE1 is a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder, 2,179cc indirect-injection OHV diesel engine with an 85 x 96mm bore and stroke and a 21.5:1 compression ratio, rated at 40.5kW gross and 39.0kW net at 3000rpm with about 143N.m of torque near 1800rpm. In generator duty it delivers 19.8kW standby at 1500rpm and 24.7kW standby at 1800rpm. At 747 x 488 x 602mm and 155kg dry it is built for small construction and agricultural equipment, offering a compact, reliable power source with modest fuel consumption of 235g/kW.h and straightforward, low-cost field maintenance. A turbocharged 4LE1T variant rated at 45kW at 2500rpm is also offered.
