Part of Isuzu's H-series engine family that powers the N-Series (Elf/NPR/NQR) low-cab-forward trucks, a lineup that helped make Isuzu the world's largest manufacturer of medium and heavy-duty trucks by 2005. The 4HK1 is a 5.19L turbocharged and intercooled SOHC four-valve diesel with a 115 x 125mm bore and stroke and 17.5:1 compression ratio, offered from 109kW at 2600rpm in truck tune up to 143kW at 2000rpm with 755N.m at 1500rpm as the 4HK1X industrial unit, introduced in 2005 as the core engine of the NPR and NQR medium trucks and widely used in Hitachi excavators and generator sets.
