Isuzu 4JB1 Diesel Engine

Part of Isuzu's 4J engine family, dating to 1984 and among the highest-volume engine lines the company has produced, this compact diesel powered generations of Isuzu's light trucks and pick-ups worldwide. The 4JB1T is the turbocharged 2.77L version with a 93 x 102mm bore and stroke, offered in 100PS and 115PS ratings, with Chinese-built Euro II units rated at 68kW at 3600rpm and 200-285N.m at 2000rpm. Produced from 1988, it powered the Isuzu Trooper and Bighorn, the MU and Amigo, the Opel and Vauxhall Frontera 2.8 TD, the Elf and NKR and the D-Max, and remains in wide licence production in China for light trucks and generator sets.
