Part of Deutz's air-cooled 912 series, introduced in 1968 as part of the company's 06-series tractor modernization and later license-built in China, this modular single-cylinder-unit design became one of the world's most widely used diesel engines, prized for simple maintenance and freedom from radiators or coolant. The F2L912 is a naturally aspirated 2-cylinder, 1.88L version with a 100 x 120mm bore and stroke, delivering 14-20kW across its power range for construction, generator and agricultural use.
