Part of Deutz's long-running air-cooled 511 series of single- and two-cylinder engines, descended from the company's post-war FL 514 platform that pioneered air-cooled diesel technology, widely used in small construction equipment, agricultural machinery and generator sets. The F1L511 is a turbocharged single-cylinder, 0.83L version with a 100 x 105mm bore and stroke, delivering 5-11kW, suited to small pumps, compact generator sets and light equipment.
